Suggestions for Sebring improvements?

Send them to track President Wayne Estes and he will listen.

Of note, two of the highest priorities right now are to build a tall grandstand somewhere at the track, and to remove the old scoring pylon which he says basically is in disrepair and the reason the bulbs are always burned out is because of the internals of it and not the bulbs themselves.

Trim the trees by the video board at the hairpin so you can see it without being right in front of it.  How about a new $10 tarp to cut some curtains for the stalls in the back bathroom. 3ft wide openings with 2.5ft wide doors is bonkers! Also, stop the crackdown on bud!

Rather than remove the iconic scoring pylon, why not repair it?  It is going to cost more than a few dollars to tear it down and make repairs to the area where it stands, spend those dollars repairing the wiring; must be at least one competent electrical contractor in Hendry county.  Why is removing something that is having lack of maintenance issues always the first, knee-jerk reaction?  We lost the "Airport Tower' and the "Water Tower" that were mainstays of the scenery surrounding the facility due to similar two-dimensional thinking.

Think of the 'green energy' potential if an effort was made to use LED bulbs, solar power (with storage) the scoring pylon function; postive PR for the "Fresh from Florida" bunch.

As for real improvements, how about the "walk-over bridges": sandblasting, replacing/repairing metal where needed and painting; replacing ALL the wood boards to enhance the perceived (and real) safety of these heavily utilized pedestrian structures.

Thoughts on a proposed "high granstand": why not put it on the 'outside of the track' in the Bishops Bend area?
Ground space within the track is at a premium, maybe add a "walk-over bridge" to access it.

These comments are from an attendee since 1994, consecutive without missing a year and this year is the tenth year of encouraging visitors from out-of-state; with eight visitors - our largest group to date - coming specifically for the races this March.

I like your suggestion of location for the grandstands Old Ironsides. There used to be a large grandstand on the frontstretch in the 50's if you look at old photos, but that would displace all the frontretch rv's so I don't think that's a good idea nowadays. I'd think the most likely location would be where they have the car corral outside the exit of turn 17, or all the way at the end of the frontstretch outside turn 17 near the paddock driveover bridge. Both locations have small bleachers there now. As far as the scoring pylon, I don't know how it is structurally, so that might be an issue. They replaced the one at Indy with a similar, but more modern one last year in the same location, so I'd be alright with something like that. The water tower was torn down because it had become an unsafe structure, same with the big hangar near turn 1. The airport control tower from the 40's is still there, but it's not used by the airport anymore.

It should be every American's and Sebring attendee's right, to shit in relative privacy, and to hot box a port a let if need be.

We were there for the SVRA's 10 days ago. The scoring pylon is down.

Improvements? 5 times as many showers and free shuttle trains like at Daytona to carry my old ass from turn 10 to 7 and then to 3,4,5 and back. Add stairs to the drive over bridge and make it a combo bridge. Big warning sirens for the Thurs. afternoon micro bursts/tornadoes. Banish the obnoxious clowns with the train horns on the outside going into the hairpin. Water trucks running continuously to keep the dust down in Green Park. That's a start.
