Packing list?
« on: March 11, 2016, 06:57:06 AM »
I've misplaced my old packing list so if any one can post theirs, that would be great. Yes, I've already got:
Beer
Tickets
Water
Sunscreen
Food
So I'm trying to remember any obscure necessities
Thanks!

I was going to cut and paste a list of things not permitted at the track but found that someone with a sense of humor wrote it.

Raceway Policies

ALL guests are REQUIRED to have fun.
While having said fun, please be safe, act responsibly, and respect your neighbors.
Our Legal Dept. and insurance carrier freak out over drones, golf carts, scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, buggies and bicycles. If you exercise bad judgment and bring them to the track, round-the-clock day care (aka, “Impound”) is provided for these vehicles.
Children 12-and-under are admitted free with ticketed adult. (Daycare is NOT provided for these children.)
Guests with special needs must pick up passes at Registration for special viewing and parking access.
Hey, it’s sports car racing, and it runs rain or shine. So, don’t EVEN ask for a refund.
WE LOVE PETS! Which is why we must insist that you LEAVE THEM HOME. They would rather be anywhere but a racetrack.
Please do not create your own city, state or country by roping off an area of our beloved property. Guests may choose to reserve spaces by purchasing a reserved space, but NOT by marking territory with ropes and streamers. That just irritates people.
Feel free to fire up your BBQ grills. However, most other fires are BAD, and therefore prohibited, i.e., fireworks, firearms, fuses, and burning furniture.
Due to gravity, we limit scaffolding to 6-feet tall.
If you gotta make a beer run, go to the house to turn off the stove, or need to do anything else beyond our gates, your TICKET AND A PASS-OUT must be presented for readmission.
Cruising is a Sebring tradition that will live longer than you, especially if you choose to cruise without sitting securely with seatbelts fastened. CLICK IT!
Not even the Sheriff’s Department takes a golf cart into Green Park. Don’t think you can.
The Sebring Raceway staff is going to bed at noon on Sunday. So, please go home – with ALL of your stuff – before then.
You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background... I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.--some FerrariChat.com douchebag

Just went and bought 3 more bottles on Champagne for the WFO Champagne toast Thursday at 3:00

Got a huge bottle of Grey Goose, only to get home and find an almost full bottle

Spray Paint for my curbing,..  assuming I get my usual spot

Portable Camp stove

Batteries

New electric lantern

Made sure my tunes were operational and bought some speaker wire

some random decorations

Gloves to pull the weeds on my curbing where we camp and not get filthy

Washed my chairs

washed my canopy tent and applying waterproofing spray

getting my WFO sign frame ready, making sure all the pieces are there.

A little spot lamp for the WFO sign

Disco Ball and light

gathered up all my sebring shirts

Looking like a plan is coming together

We used to post this on the old ALMS Fan Forum every year:

Camping at Sebring

If you have a van or SUV or you’re coming in by air and need to rent a vehicle:

1. Arrive in Florida.
2. Go to car rental agency and rent a van, SUV, or cargo van.
3. Drive to the track and enjoy activities. Oh ---- also the race.
4. Sleep in back of van. (Bring what you need to do that or go to Wal-Mart.
5. In case of rain, roll up windows.
6. In case of cold, turn on heater.
7. In case of heat, turn on AC.
8. If bored, turn on radio.
9. Return vehicle to car rental agency.
